Refreshingly exotic, Monsoon Gin is infused with spices of the East. Bringing flavours of South East Asia together to create a storm in your glass, a gin with unique presence where lemongrass, ginger, ginseng and juniper berries collide together creating a dry gin with a twist. Fresh, earthy, punchy with lifted citrus and a touch of heat from the ginger. Honeyed liquorice root, ginseng, lemongrass, ginger and juniper play off each other in a perfectly synchronised storm. Lofty aromatics build into a deluge of flavour with warming spice.

We recommend this gin for those who are well versed in Aussie craft gins and are looking for something unlike any other, something extremely unique, a stand out for its dry earthy nature. 

Bass & Flinders was originally established with a dream to produce fine Australian brandies, and so we decided to distil wine into spirit - eau de vie, for maturation in French oak barrels. While this spirit was ageing we turned to gin, and our fresh and vibrant Signature Gin was born. What makes our gins so unique within the Australian gin landscape, is that we use this same eau de vie as the base spirit for our gins. First released in 2014, back then we were one of only 30 distilleries across the country. Little did we know this was only the beginning of Australia's love affair with Aussie craft gin, a movement we're proud to be. 

This gin was handcrafted from scratch using our ‘Méthode Eau de Vie’ - the art of distilling wine into spirit. This technique, unique to Bass & Flinders Distillery, delivers a smoother, fuller, richer flavour for your drinking pleasure.

If you wish to exchange or return for store credit, please notify the return within 14 days of receiving the product with a note of reason and we'll be happy to do so.     This gin like all Bass & Flinders spirits is made from grape base spirit versus grain like most other gins. I found it goes great with Ginger beer and fresh lime zest

    Its also gluten free

Here at Bass & Flinders we are dedicated to the true art of distillation. This means that rather than source neutral ethanol externally as the base spirit for this product, we choose to go the extra mile and distil our own premium grape-based spirit from scratch, in-house.

Our process starts in the Victorian vineyards, where in conjunction with our winemaker, we have a say in the sugar levels, ripeness of fruit, PH and acidity - because all these elements - at the right levels - combine to create the perfect wine needed to distil into our grape spirit.

This grape spirit is called eau de vie - French for 'Water of Life'. This base spirit is the lifeline and foundation for every product we produce. It tells a story of the vintage and vineyards it was sourced from and delivers a smoother, fuller, richer base to deliver the ultimate gin experience.
